Here's a little review. I play this game for long already. So far this is the best RPG game I ever played. The storyline is cinematic, the graphics are great and the BGM and sound FX simply rocks. I suggest you try to play this game.

STORY:
Final Fantasy XII is set in the world of Ivalice, and for years the two Empires of Archadia and Rozarria have been fighting against each other in a bitter struggle. Located in a strategically important corridor between the two powers is the small kingdom of Dalmasca.

Even though an unfortunate encounter in his past left Vaan without a family, he is an optimistic and bright young man yielding from the ancient kingdom of Dalmasca--which has fallen under the control of the Archardian Empire. As a result Vaan becomes a member of the resistance to regain his own sovereignty and in hope that Dalmasca will be liberated from the grip of the Archardian Empire.

Ashe is the sole daughter of the king of Dalmasca and hence the next inline to the throne. Following the invasion of her country, she becomes the leader of the resistance against the Empire. During a wild pursuit, she loses one companion after the other. Despite her desperate situation, she still hasn't lost the pride of a princess. In this situation she meets Vaan, and a joint adventure begins. . .

CHARACTERS:

Vaan A boy who would be a sky pirate.

Age: 17

Race: Hume

Vaan is an easy going, positive young man who lives in the former Dalmasca Kingdom, now under the rule of the Archadian Empire. Vaan lost his family in a previous conflict and now dreams of commanding an air ship to escape the conquering Archadia. Vaan joins the resistance in order to free the citizens and the royal family of Dalmasca.

Ashe A princess. When all is lost, she builds it anew.

Age: 19

Race: Hume

Ashe is the daughter and only child of King Dalmasca, who died during the Archadian invasion. After Dalmasca was conquered, Ashe disappears and forms the resistance against Archadia. She hopes to free the people of Dalmasca from the rule of the Empire.

Balthier He flies the skies of Ivalice. The sky pirate.

Age: 22

Race: Hume

Balthier is a sky pirate and pilots a small ship around in the skies of Ivalice. With his companion Fran they prefer to be neutral when it comes to the war between the kingdoms of Ivalice.

Fran She can wield any weapon with ease.

Age: N/A

Race: Viera

Fran is part of the Viera race and travels the world with her partner Balthier. She entrusts her faith in combat during her journeys with Vaan and Ashe. While Fran is proficient when it comes to grappling and fencing skills, she is also adept in all forms of weapons.

Penelo A girl who wants peace.

Age: 16

Race: Hume

Penelo is a 16 year old hume who lives near her close friend, Vaan in Rabanastre of Dalmasca. She lost her family in a previous war and works happily at the bazaar. Her philosophy is "As long as you never give up, things will get better down the road." Penelo loves to sing and dance. She learned martial arts from her older brother, who used to be a knight. Her dancing style is similar to martial arts.

Basch A loyal knight who becomes a traitor.

Age: 36

Race: Hume

The 36 year-old Basch is the sixth character in Final Fantasy XII. He was a former general of Dalmasca, but he killed the king when he found out King Dalmasca sold his people to Archadia. Basch also killed Vaan's older brother, Reks, when he had found out the truth. Basch is known as a villian but he travels with Vaan, but his intentions are still clouded in mystery.

I'm currently playing this game. I even have a picture of it on my cellphone. The gameplay and battle system is pretty much similar to Ragnarok Online and the graphics, as you mentioned, is astounding. Too many spoilers though. Razz

Did I mention that Balthier should be the leading character? He kicks so much ass and I love the accent. If I were a girl, I would've probably fallen in love with him long ago.

@riou: haha.. my mom bought me 2 brand new ps2 last year and it only cost her 300 dollars i guess.. its not so expensive there already not like here in the philippines..

@kyrose: yeah! i also think that balthier should be the lead actor in the game! i love him! he totally rocks! and another reason is i love guns..

anyways.. i got some few tricks from the nalbina dungeons and barheim passage.. wanna know it kyrose?.. hekhek.. its not much though..

LOVED this game.
For one, the characters were very interesting. I really loved Ashe and Balthier. With good voice acting too
The story line was a little different from most Final Fantasy game, yet was very similar in a sence. This game was more around an empire and the resistance/rebels, which was different, but the way the characters came together and the way the story progressed had some good Final Fantasy element to it
Also, the musical score was FANTASTIC! The music was so epic, and just really good in general

Just a very good game xD

I really hated the voice done on Vahn. It kinda looked like the voice actor was reading the lines directly from the script. If there was one game that the voice actor filled with so much emotion is Final Fantasy X. Hand's down.

Well.. the only thing that i haven't done in this game is to kick Yiazmat, OMEGA-thingy, Zodiark, Ultima's arses..

The rest pretty much completed.. :3

Except for hell wyrm. I'm in the process of obliterating that thing.
